Our 2021-2022 season began on October 16, 2021!

Although we are currently restricted to smaller teams due to Covid, it is our hope that we will soon be allowed more players in the ice area. We will therefore be adding about 25 more positions to our current waitlist. If you are interested, please send in your Registration Form. The Registration Fee will be pro-rated to be reduced by the number of games that have already been played.

Covid-19 Protocols are in place and all players must: be fully vaccinated; wear a mask covering nose and mouth at all times inside the arena (except when on the ice); use hand sanitizer when entering and leaving the arena; and keep gloves on for end-of-game fist bumps.

If you are not feeling well, please stay home and let your Team Rep know that you cannot make the game (preferably before noon on game day).

The Women’s Hockey Club of Toronto (WHCT) is a recreational, non-slapshot women’s ice hockey league for people age 18 and over who identify as female, trans, nonbinary or two-spirited and who are LGBTQ2S or allies who can uphold an inclusive environment. All players are welcome regardless of skill level — beginners just learning to play hockey, mid-range players and experienced players. We have 12 teams, with each team comprised of 15 players, including the goalie. Each team is comprised of a mix of players from all levels with every attempt made to balance the teams.

When & Where We Play

The 2021-2022 season will start later than usual and run from October 16, 2021 to the end of April. Each team will play approximately 18 regular season games and at least 3 playoff games. Games are played on Saturday nights with the first game starting at 5:00 p.m. and the last game starting at 10:00 p.m. Each game is 50 minutes in length. All games are played at Moss Park Arena, located at the corner of Queen St. East and Sherbourne St. in downtown Toronto.

Please note: To qualify for the playoffs you must miss no more than 10 regular season games. It is your responsibility to sign the game sheet to ensure that your attendance at each game is counted.

If you experience any symptoms of Covid-19/Fue, please do not attend games. As long as you tell your Team Rep before noon on Saturday, you will not be marked absent, and it will not count toward the 10 games mentioned above.

To keep our costs low, sweaters are re-used and must be returned at the end of each season.
